Women's Health

Just because you were told your symptoms were normal, doesn't mean you have to live with them.

Your body changes through pregnancy, postpartum recovery, hormonal shifts, and the everyday demands of training — and your care can change right along with it. Every plan at Magnolia is one-on-one and built around where you are right now, whether you're rebuilding strength after birth, working through pelvic floor symptoms, adjusting to perimenopause, or returning to a sport you love. The goal is always the same: helping you feel confident and strong in your body, for the long run.

Pelvic Health Care
What to expect at your first visit.
Here's how we get from your first appointment to a plan that fits your life.
01

The Evaluation

Your first visit starts with listening, then a full physical assessment so we understand the whole picture.

  • History & goals — symptoms, pregnancy and delivery history, bowel, bladder, and sexual function, pain patterns, and what you want to get back to
  • Breathing & pressure management — how your body manages pressure during lifting, coughing, or exercise
  • Core & pelvic floor function — strength, coordination, and endurance
  • Movement assessment — posture, hip and spine mobility, and patterns that affect the pelvic floor
  • Pelvic floor muscle assessment — an internal exam is offered and explained in full beforehand; you're always in control of what that looks like
02

Your Plan of Care

From there, we build a plan that's specific to you and your goals.

  • A written plan based on your evaluation findings and your goals
  • A home program to support the work we do together in session
  • Progressive strength and Pilates-based programming that grows with you as symptoms improve
  • A clear timeline and follow-up schedule, so you always know what's next

Reassessed regularly and adjusted as you progress.

If you're looking for in-person PT covered by insurance, you can find me at The Center for Balance and Rehabilitation for orthopedic and pelvic floor physical therapy.
