About Magnolia Movement

Magnolia Movement is a cash-based physical therapy and Pilates practice in Mobile, AL built around one idea: that the gap between formal PT and real life is where too many people get lost. Through Reformer Pilates, personal training, telehealth PT, concierge PT, and custom exercise programming, I offer care that is fully personalized and runs on your timeline.

My practice is women-forward, meaning most of my clients are women, but I am not women-only. I work with active adults, runners, lifters, rotational athletes (swimmers, golfers, tennis and pickleball players, baseball and softball athletes), prenatal and postpartum women, and anyone navigating orthopedic pain or pelvic floor issues. If you are not sure whether you fit, just reach out and we can figure it out together.

At a traditional insurance-based clinic, your time is dictated by what your insurance will approve. That usually means shorter visits, less one-on-one time, and discharge before you feel truly ready. At Magnolia Movement, every session is one-on-one with me, fully focused on you, and as long as it needs to be. There are no visit limits, no rushing through a protocol that was designed for someone else, and no waiting around in a shared gym space. You get care that is actually built around your body and your goals.

No referral needed for any Magnolia Movement service. You can book directly through the scheduling link, text, or email. If a referral ever makes sense for your specific situation, I will walk you through what to do.

Your first visit starts with a real conversation. I want to understand your history, your goals, what has and hasn't worked before, and what you actually want your body to be able to do. From there we move into a movement assessment and hands-on evaluation so I can get a clear picture of what is going on. By the end of the session you will know what I found, what I think is driving it, and what the plan looks like going forward.

Insurance & Pricing

Magnolia Movement is fully cash-based and does not bill insurance. This is what allows for personalized, unrushed care with no visit limits or restrictions.

Need to use insurance? You can see me at The Center for Balance and Rehabilitation, where I accept insurance for orthopedic and pelvic floor PT. I am happy to help you figure out which path makes the most sense for you.

All services are available as single sessions or discounted packages. Packages are a great way to build consistency while saving money, and they are valid for one year from the date of purchase. Pricing is discussed on your free discovery call or available by request via email, text, or DM. Payment is due at the time of service.

Payment methods: ACH bank transfer and Venmo (@magnoliamovementco) are preferred. Credit card is accepted with a 3% processing fee.
Services

Honestly, this is what the free discovery call is for. Book a 15-minute call and I will ask you a few questions about your goals, history, and what you are dealing with right now. From there I can point you in the right direction with zero pressure and zero commitment required.

Concierge PT means I come to you. I show up at your home with everything needed for a full PT session, including dry needling. Sessions are longer and more focused than a typical clinic visit and can include manual therapy, dry needling, movement retraining, exercise programming, and education. There are no distractions and no waiting. It is especially popular with postpartum clients, people with limited mobility, and honestly anyone who just does not want to add another commute to their day. Concierge visits are available to anyone in the Mobile area, with a small travel fee outside a 15-mile radius.

Yes. I am currently licensed in Alabama and Georgia, and I can see telehealth clients in any state where I hold licensure. If you are not sure whether your state is covered, just reach out and I will let you know. Telehealth works really well for orthopedic care, pelvic health, postpartum support, and Low-Pressure Fitness and a lot of people are surprised by how effective a virtual session can be.

The Magnolia Restore Series and Magnolia Strength Series are custom home exercise programs I build specifically for you. You fill out a short intake questionnaire, I design the program around your goals and history, and it gets delivered digitally through The Prehab Guys platform. No appointment needed and no scheduling back-and-forth. You get a real, personalized program you can start right away and follow at your own pace.

Pilates & Movement

Not at all. Every session is tailored to your body and your starting point, whether you have never touched a reformer in your life or you are coming back to movement after a long break. There is no expectation other than showing up.

Yes, when it is guided by someone who actually understands what is going on in your body. Because I am also a physical therapist, I can modify every exercise in real time based on your symptoms and what I am seeing. Moving through pain or injury in the right way can actually speed up recovery and it is one of the things I love most about combining PT with Pilates.

Dry Needling

Dry needling is a technique where thin, solid needles are inserted into tight or dysfunctional muscle tissue to release tension, reduce pain, and improve how the muscle functions. It is not acupuncture, though the needles look similar. The goal is to trigger a response in the muscle that helps it relax and heal more effectively.

As for whether it hurts: most people describe a brief muscle twitch or a dull ache during the needle insertion, which is actually a sign the treatment is working. It is usually much less uncomfortable than people expect, and the relief afterward is often significant. I have had a lot of patients who were nervous about it beforehand tell me afterward they wish they had tried it sooner.

Dry needling is included in all concierge PT sessions and is available as an add-on to other services. If you have questions or concerns about it before your first visit, just ask.
Pregnancy & Postpartum

Yes, and honestly staying active during pregnancy is one of the best things you can do for yourself and your recovery afterward. Every session is tailored to your trimester, your symptoms, and how you are feeling that day, with a focus on breath, core, and movement that supports your changing body. The goal is for you to feel strong and capable throughout your whole pregnancy, not just comfortable enough to get through it.

As soon as you feel ready to have a conversation about it. Gentle, guided movement can begin much earlier than most people realize, depending on how delivery went and how recovery is going. As a pelvic health PT and certified Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist, I have programs designed for every phase from the early weeks all the way through 18 weeks postpartum and beyond.

Need a pelvic floor evaluation first? I can see you at The Center for Balance and Rehabilitation using your insurance. We can transition back into movement-based work whenever you are ready.

Absolutely. This is one of the most underserved seasons of a woman's life when it comes to movement care. Strength, recovery, pelvic floor function, and body composition all shift significantly during this time and the standard advice most women receive is pretty inadequate. I work with women navigating hormonal changes, pelvic floor symptoms, shifting strength patterns, and more, with programming that is actually built around where your body is right now and what it needs.
